I decided to indulge in some self-love today. I think sometimes we feel guilty when we post selfies or tell people what we think our strengths are for fear of looking conceited. But I believe that it’s okay to indulge every once in a while, and since today is my birthday, what better day to do so?
•I like that I can be compassionate and understanding of others.
•I like that I can articulate my thoughts well.
•I like that I know how to draw.
•I love my curly hair.
•I think I am pretty. Even though there will always be someone better-looking than me, I know I have more to offer than my looks.
•Even with my bad days, I’ve gotten to a point where I generally like myself…and that’s pretty sweet.
When I look back at where I used to be, I almost can’t believe that I am where I am now.
I’m so thankful for all the people who have given their love and support for me over the years. I’m also really thankful for the friends that took the extra minute to call or message or text me “Happy Birthday”; I felt the love :’)
